Terms of Use

Temi Technologies operates Egret and the Egret Field app (together, the “service”). These terms govern how the service may be used. By signing in or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service is for authorised field agents and operations staff using an account we provide. It is not open to the general public, and there is no self-registration. You may use it only for the data-collection work you have been authorised to carry out.

Keep your sign-in details secure and do not share your account. You are responsible for activity carried out under it. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

When recording a farm, you must:

• obtain the farmer’s consent before recording their information, and explain what it is for;
• record details accurately and honestly — never fabricate, guess, or falsify a record;
• collect only the information the app asks for;
• treat farmers and their information with respect, and follow applicable law.

Do not misuse the service. In particular, do not attempt to access data or areas you are not authorised to, interfere with or disrupt the service, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

The Egret platform, the app, and the farm register belong to Temi Technologies. We grant you a limited, revocable right to use the app solely for authorised data collection. Records you capture are part of the register and are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

The service is an evolving product and is provided “as is.” We may add, change, or suspend features, and cannot guarantee it will always be available or error-free.

To the extent permitted by law, Temi Technologies is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

We may suspend or end access to the service, including for breach of these terms or misuse of the service.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria.
